kim baker beauty danced her way to becoming a makeup artist.
I've always been a creative whether it was through dancing, painting or drawing as a young child.
In high school, I was on two competitive dance teams and taking classes; often dancing up to 20 hours in a week. When performing, we had to look a very particular way in the beauty department.
After a very short amount of time performing, some of my teammates started asking me to do their makeup. I fell in love with seeing their reaction and their faces lighting up. But it was actually my friends' moms that would encourage me to turn my makeup artistry into a career.
After college, I attended San Jose City College's esthetician program, met Priscilla Francine Makeup and the rest is history!
